Are you saying her SP forecast is only showing £160 pw ?

No, he seems to be saying that his late father's NSP was £160.00 a week in April 2020.

He went on to state that his father had a "protected payment" of £20.15 a week.

But how could his father have a PP if he was not even entitled to a full NSP,  (£175.20  for 2020/21)?

  • Yes sorry - the pension was about £200ish now, £20 of which was the protected payment (sorry I can't get the exact amount as I can't get into the bank account right now)

My Mum's forecast via gov gateway site is £160 a week, they say it can be increased only up to £174.74 a week. She doesn't have the money to make additional voluntary contributions anyway.

The system should then put 2 and 2 together but as we all know government computers often come up with the wrong answer.

    Indeed.....
