Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Now light, dry underfoot, air is cool but soon heats up.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Dinner last night was HM chicken and mushroom pie, mash, veg and gravy. Tonight I'm not sure what we'll be having possibly gammon, egg and chips.
Work wasn't too bad, will see how today goes.
Keep safe and well x

Good morning, thanks for starting NMLC.It's not a bad morning here, yesterday turned out quite hot. We've got a hairdressers appt this morning, then I'll do a bit of general housework. The quiz will be on tonight so we'll go to that.On Saturday we're going down to the Midlands to celebrate a family birthday, but we'll only be there a couple days. We'll take the caravan and we can stay near the family.I've got to be back for next Wednesday for a theatre visit.Snoozer, Chrystal and the baby have got their first night over, hope they're both all right.Gers, wherever you are I hope your journey is uneventful. I don't know if you were overnighting in Dubai, but even if you were you'll probably be on your next flight now, as they're 7 - 8 hours ahead of us.Hope everyone has a good Tuesday, take care folks. Please excuse any typos, i'm struggling to type because this daft little dog is forcing himself on to my knee.!13

Morning Everyone
Damp and dreary this morning, yesterday was wall to wall rain so hoping for some better weather today.
Congrats again Snoozer.
Sounds like you're having a good time NRA.
Hope you had a good day Ruby.
Pleased to hear your DM is getting better Nelski, good you could get to visit.
Good to hear from you Poppy.
Welcome back Nanny.
I called at the allotment on my way home yesterday and found a massive courgette hiding under all the leaves, more like a marrow really, will have to make some more chutney I think! There were lots of beans so they have been blanched and put in the freezer for a taste of summer later in the year.
Went for a swim, will try and get there again later, depends what time I get in as I'm on the bus today.
Hope you all have a good day, take care. XX11 -

Hi everyone,
Thank you for your good wishes, we're all thrilled here, the baby is a real cutie, Crystal was very tired last night and spacey from the pain meds but baby is feeding well. He's amazingly well covered for a little chap, he looks like he's going to be a bit of a bruiser.
We're going across to their's today, Steve is putting in a new linked smoke alarm system (our baby present because they have already got everything) and I'm going to make sure any mess is cleared up and do a few other bits. They paid to have a deep clean but Chris says they missed the cobwebs so I will go and do those and pick up apples, their trees are laden but a lot of the fruit is very small, probably from the lack of water, their lawn is completely brown.
I'm still waiting for my replacement cards, it's getting very old having to ask Steve to come with me when I need to buy anything. I also need to sort out my driving licence.
Izzy I missed your post on Sunday and have just read it, I can understand how you feel, your son is a lovely chap and the wedding sounds amazing.
Ruby, well done on the job change, it sounds very positive.
Hugs to the poorlies and those looking after the poorly people.
Have a good day.13 -
Morning folks and thanks NMLC. We are having a real mixed bag of weather just now. Heavy rain on and off all night and a thick mist when I first looked out. The sun was trying to break through but disappeared again. They say summer will be back on Thursday!
Back to the usual Tuesday coffee then lunch meet up with BFF. She has recovered from last week's nasty side effects. Just one more chemo session to go in another two weeks time and she is expecting the side effects to follow the same pattern.
IZZY the wedding day sounded absolutely perfect. I wish them a long and happy life together.
SNOOZER many congratulations again.
NAN welcome back. I hope you manage to get all your washing dry.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for the poorlies and fed up. NELS I hope DM continues to improve. Take care all and be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"13 -

Morning all
Dull and overcast here but meant to stay dry. I had a lovely day yesterday with my private client, we went into work which was a bit strange but it was nice to see the other clients, we spent some time sweeping the benches in the greenhouse and then went apple picking ! we had lunch and then came away about 2.30 ! I stopped in the shops on the way home to get some bits and then dropped him off home, it was a really nice day and diddn't really feel like work !
I bought a load of apples home so will make some apple and garlic chutney at some point, I was also given a tray of plants for so a good day for freebies !
Got another client coming today, it was supposed to be two but one is poorly, I still get paid for her as it was short notice so just the one today, we will go to Arundel and have a walk around the lake and get a coffee and then come home and make a cake, bliss !
Pesto pasta for dinner tonight, dd makes the pesto and I will have a corriander one as I dont like Basil, will do a salad and garlic bread with it.
Snoozer congratulations to you all, hope mum and baby are doing well xxx
Izzy it sounds like a wonderful day xx
Welcome back Nan xx
Have good days all xxx12 -
Morning everyone
Just a quickie from me as I've got to go into town to pick up my new glasses - I'll try them out tonight as I wear contacts usually - they're bifocals so I'll see how I get on with them.
I'm meeting a friend at a local cafe for tea and cake this afternoon so that will be nice - she can talk for England!
Another friend - same cafe for lunch tomorrow. It's the only one in walking distance for us all and has amazing cakes.
Snoozer - many congratulations x I wonder what Esben will make of his new cousin. We have a photo of great nephew who was 3 at the time looking horrified the first time he met little one! He very quickly adored her.
Redruby - your new job sounds lovely
Better go - hope everyone has a good day x

Morning all. Dull and rained overnight. I was going to cut the grass but I'd better leave it until it's a bit drier. Started on shortening the kimono. I was going to do it properly and nicely and then I thought, life is short, so now I've made a frieze of offcuts and a mish mash of picture fabric to attach to the piece I cut off the bottom. I'll make that into a panel and give it a deep hem on the inside which I will do properly and by hand, just wanted something a bit funky on the outside. Also booked an impromptu tip run, not much t go but stuff I don't want hanging around. I'm trying for improving one thing every day, either tidying something up, or getting rid of something, or reorgananising something, just to make life easier, or something neater. Sundays was make two small shelf type things with a couple of the sleepers from the front garden which makes walking round the back of the greenhouse much easier. And I must go for a walk somewhere. And maybe some shopping and a visit to the sewing shop...Need some embroidery thread.Snoozer, thats lovely of you, Izzy was bang on the money about having a rest from the usual. Ruby, sounds like you've found your metier, no work work is the way to go
whats in the apple and garlic chutney? Between you and camelot, I have remembered I should be making some picallilli. TA, glad your BFF is recovering, it's such a horrible thing. Enjoy your day out! Nanny, welcome back, sounds like fun was had! Scarlet, if I don't remember, have a lovely time away. Take care all...
