Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Now light, dry underfoot, air is cool but and possibility of some rain, very localised showers yesterday.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Lunch yesterday was burgers, sausages, salad, HM wedges coleslaw etc - was going to have a bbq but plans changed so I cooked it in the oven at home.
Back to work today but a short week as DH has a dental appointment, we're hoping they will take the tooth out - we'll see.
Keep safe and well x

Morning All
It was dry when I got up but raining now. All washing dried outside yesterday, the bedding went back on the bed, everything else folded or ironed and put away (polishes halo!).
I pulled the last of the rhubarb from neighbours garden and made rhubarb and ginger jam, the rest I'll take into work to see if anyone can use it, I don't like rhubarb unless it's in jam.
The weekend went all too quickly so back to work today. I have quite a lot to take in today so will take the car, it's the bus for the rest of the week to save some money.
Happy holidays Gers!
Take care. XX12 -
Good morning, thanks for starting NMLC. Hope your DH will be all right. It's grey and damp here, I've had to put a lamp on.Gers, my DS1 used to live in Queensland just outside of Brisbane, it's a nice little city.Hope you have a wonderful time.TA you're right about not letting things go to the CS if you're dithering, I've done it and regretted it.It's an exciting day ahead for you Snoozer, hope all goes well, keep us informed.NRA, hope you enjoyed your walk with dgc.Nels, sorry to hear your mum isn't eating well, it's a worry isn't it.DP1 that little Dgd keeps you on your toes. Not a lot happening here, I feel about 102 with all my aches and pains at the moment. I might take a couple of painkillers. We've still got Dgd's dog, he's going home tomorrow, we'll miss him, he's a nice little dog. Only thing is you've got to be careful if he's on the stairs with you, he dashed between my feet the other day and would have had me down head first if I hadn't been holding the banister.Hope everyone has a s good a day as they can, take care folks.13

Dinner tonight is prawn and chilli spaghetti. I need to shop after work as didn't get a chance at the weekend. DH will be fixing cracks in the lounge and landing ceilings, so I definitely got the better deal lol.
Have a good day everyone and hugs to the poorlies x

Morning folks and thanks NMLC. A bit of an iffy day forecast for us today. It's currently fine with odd glimpses of the sun but chance of rain later. Yesterday was lovely when the wind eased off and I managed to sit out in the sunshine reading for an hour or two.
DS should be home now, though probably still asleep, as they had quite a late flight back last night. A text while waiting for check in told me they all had post holiday blues! DD and the 2 younger ones are still at the caravan but due home Thursday. I am hoping to have another week or so there myself early September.
No rigid plans for today but there are the usual jobs if I don't find anything better to do!
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies or fed up. SNOOZER I hope you don't have long to wait for baby news. NELS thoughts are with you and your DM. GERS have a safe flight and a wonderful holiday. Take care all and be safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"13 -

Morning all
Dull and overcast here and rain due this afternoon, I am collecting my private client today as I start my other job tomorrow, I am taking him into my old work as he works there but I shall just be supervising him so no pressures like I used to have, it will be nice to see my clients and nice not to have the pressures !
Bacon egg and chips for dinner as we did not have it the other night, so will do some chips when I get in, dw has been emptied this morning and I have put a wash on.
I need to pop into the shop later and get some squash, we dont drink it but the new clients starting this week do so I need some in stock, I also need some sandwich bits as one young lad never has any food at homeso I will need to provide a lunch for him.
Gers safe travels and have a great time xx
Nels hope mum is ok xx
Snoozer hope all goes well today xx
Have good days all xx13 -
Morning all - just a quickie from me to say thanks for all the good wishes. 💕
I'm showered and almost ready. Car is coming at 11a.m. so I'll be relaxing a bit longer.Scarlet- I'm going about 2.5 hours north of Brisbane, near to Noosa Heads, almost but not quite bush country!
Izzy - I'm so glad that the wedding was so perfect, what a lovely son you have raised. ❤️As the saying goes 'I'll be back', maybe once I reach Dubai. Meanwhile, I hope that everyone keeps well. Happy Monday to all.Ooh..and congratulations in advance to Snoozer and family for the new baby.12 -
Morning all. Busy weekend involving driving an hour away for a party/bbq and back again [an all dayer so nothing done Saturday], yesterday hammering bits of concrete with the lump hammer and chisel to fit pieces of wood in neatly, bit of sewing, bit of garden re-jigging, cooking, cleaning and the day was done. Today I am going to go shopping for last minute things because I'll be busy from Wednesday. Also going to try to route plan using different types of roads and download those ready, which reminds me, need to sort out my phone. I can still roam for free, but the data amount is not going to be enough, so need to find a new one.Izzy, so pleased you had a beautiful day and everything went so well for you all. enjoy your week off too...Gers, safe travels, break legs, that sort of thing
Scarlet, Fatty does that too, he likes to smash his head on each foot as I walk down the stairs. Cute but also very nerve wracking. You've got to hold on for dear life. Ruby are you going to be thumbing your nose at them? Glad you've found a job that's not like work!
snoozer, hope all goes well today. I know I've forgotten stuff so apologies in advance, head full of stuffing this morning...Take care all....

Morning everyone
It got out lovely yesterday afternoon - I pottered in the garden and planted some pansies to replace some plants that didn't survive my holiday - just to add a little colour. Then I sat in the sun and read - it was lovely.
I ordered a bigger airfryer so I can hopefully use my oven less - I'll sell mine .
This morning it's raining quite heavily. I was going to have a walk down to Poundland but I don't have to so I'll just see what the weather does.
Just going to have a lazy day as I'm feeling very achy.
Gers - safe journey x
Izzy - sounds like a fantastic day - glad the weather was good for you
Redruby - it'll be a lovely change for you, going into 'work' without any pressure - enjoy
Well I'm going to have a check of my bank. Hope everyone has a good day x12 -
Morning all, I'm back ! We came home at tea time yesterday and dumped everything into the dining room so it now looks like a jumble sale in there !
The first week was too hot (32-35 degrees) to go anywhere except out of the van and into the shade of the tree behind us with the occasional visit to an air conditioned sm. We had a biblical thunder and lightening storm with torrential rain in the second week but thankfully it cooled down to a manageable 22-25 degrees. I am now several shades darker than when we went and it's surprising how much tan you can get just strolling to the communal rubbish bins 😂 I look like I've been abroad and not Somerset.
Today I need to sort through the stuff I dumped and start putting it all away temporarily as we are hoping to go away again in September. There's zero chance of doing any washing as it's raining here, it's mainly T. shirts and shorts and towels anyway but I'll fill the washing basket ready.
I'm afraid I haven't been able to keep up with anyone's news as we had no wi fi so I hope all is well with everyone.
Gers I hope I haven't missed you, have a wonderful holiday down under and safe travels.
Nels I hope Mum is feeling better
Snoozer my thoughts are with you and Crystal today, I hope everything goes well.
Take care all, stay safe and well.
nan xx
PS. sorry Izzy I missed your wedding news, sounds a perfect day. Congrats to the happy couple.Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently10
