My Remoska Grand cost £190, plus £10 for the grill rack and I also bought the cookbook for £6.Mortgage free by 33 - (21/07/22 - 32 years and a bit...)
Most DIY problems can be solved by a combination of spanner, pliers, screwdriver, Allan key and a blade. (Hold it, twist it, cut it!) Very occasionally industrial language, a hammer and an adhesive may need to be added to the mix. (Curse it, hit it, patch it!)1 -
I see there are some on sale on Ebay- the original model (with wire legs) starting around £40. Mine lasted for 8 years and that was with pretty much everyday use.
My only quibble is the fact that they only use normal Teflon- not diamond quality.
I bought the recipe book but never opened it- just use your usual recipes
I use mine a lot.
You used to be able to buy them direct from Czechoslovakia but when I googled they no longer supply to UK, only stopped recently.Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!

We bought one several years ago, and are now using it several times a week. If you are cooking for two the regular model is just fine. I reckon it uses about 20% of the energy of an electric oven, and can cook just about everything you might want to in an oven. This is simply because you are only needing to heat up a much smaller volume of air. If you are cooking several large items at the same time you have stick with the oven, but in a time when energy costs are soaring the Remoska is a great device to have for everyday use.2

"Are Remoskas worth it?" They undoubtedly work and have their devotees. They were originally very popular in the touring caravan community in the UK. As an item, they are hugely over-priced. There's not much to them from a construction point of view and I think they should be in the same price bracket as a slow-cooker. Its your money and your choice.0
