Another FedEx !!!!!!-up, another package disappears into the ether...

I've just had an SMS from FedEx telling me that they were unable to deliver my package. The tracking status on their website shows: "Customer not available or business closed". I have been sitting at the delivery address all day, and no attempts have been made to deliver it.
Only 2 months ago FedEx managed to lose the only other package that I have been expecting from them this year - they delivered it to the wrong address and I was never able to recover it.
Has anyone got any useful tips for dealing with this sort of situation?

So this looks like a no access scan if I read it right.
Most carriers dont have scans for every option. So messages are generic
Some reasons can be vehicle breakdown, shortage of staff, cant be bothered etc etc.
Given your previous issue. You may live in an area they struggle to cover. (yodel for my area!)
I would wait and see what Monday brings0 -
I'm in a densely populated area of West London, about a 5 minute walk from a major railway station. Hard to imagine any courier struggling to cover this area!custardy said:So this looks like a no access scan if I read it right.

Is this a business ? If so do you have a stand alone postal address or are you a shed on plot along with others all having the same address ?

The location doesnt matter if you dont have the staff. Many companies (my own included) are suffering staff shortages.

So you think they'd just say I wasn't in when they actually made no attempt to deliver it??0

As I covered in my original post.itm2 said:So you think they'd just say I wasn't in when they actually made no attempt to deliver it??
For various reasons carriers have limited scans
The fact it says not available/business closed leads me to think its a no access scan.
Hence wait for Monday
