Just had a look to see what I could make with storecupboard items...

What about a thousand island dip (mayonaise, ketchup, garlic, and a little chilli powder) served with chopped vegetables.

Mash up some tinned salmon with mayonaise and herbs to make a sort of pate and send in some crackers.

  • Wow thanks folks I knew I could count on you. It has been last week before payday so we had really been running things down - usually we would have had a pizza in the freezer. I did think of cheese pinwheels as my son is making mince pies at school and we had to buy him some pastry ( not very moneysaving!) so I was going to take a bit of that, but I didn't get it out of the freezer in time. My husband had a good dig in the chest freezer and found some cook from frozen sausages - I couldn't reach at 5'2" would have gone ars* over t*t into it at the bottom! So not the mini ones she would have liked, but at least she has something - I do wish they would give more notice, some of us have busy lives!( Mind I probably would have forgotten)
    Thanks all

Dogs return to eat their vomit, just as fools repeat their foolishness. There is no more hope for a fool than for someone who says, "i am really clever!"
