Halifax - mortgage employment check

Hello! We’ve just applied for a mortgage with Halifax. We used a broker, and provided 3 payslips and 3 matching bank statements. Just wondering what the chances are of them requesting an employment reference. We’re both in full time, permanent employment. My work is especially slow at responding to these sort of requests, so just wondering what the chances are of there being a hold up! Thanks for the advice

I won't worry.
Recent wage increase and bonus not sure if that was why my broker said Halifax contacted my employer.1 -
@tjjones123 It's unlikely. Halifax are by far the quickest mainstream lender currently and often turn around underwriting in a few working days. The time required for a valuation will depend on whether a physical visit is required and surveyor availability.TJJones123 said:Hello! We’ve just applied for a mortgage with Halifax. Did they contact before or after they made the offer? Thank you ☺️Zoe02 said:I won't worry.

They reached out to my employer before offer (not yet had an offer) I imagine if they want an employment check it's to ensure what you've said is true.TJJones123 said:
