Mortgage has been offered

I have finally been offered the mortgage for my property by the lender but I’ve read and heard that the lender can still give back word on the offer, this worries because I am in a dispute with my employer and we are striking over 2 days in the coming days. It is public knowledge so I am panicking now that they will become aware and give back word on the offer. I know it probably takes something drastic to give back word at this stage but would this be a reason to?

You are worrying for no reason, everyone will be fine unless your employer terminates your contracts, but unlikely1

I would not worry about this.
You will likely still have your role and nothing will have changed.0 -
@cmbrookes I wouldn't think so and I've never seen or heard of this happening myself for clients employed in organisations like rail companies, TFL, Royal Mail, BA, etc. If lenders started doing that, there's a whole swathe of industries and employers that they'd need to worry aboutcmbrookes said:I have finally been offered the mortgage for my property by the lender but I’ve read and heard that the lender can still give back word on the offer, this worries because I am in a dispute with my employer and we are striking over 2 days in the coming days. Thanks for the confidence boost people. Just sorting mortgage protection and then hopefully the solicitors will get a shift on with the contracts.0
