    yes it is.       VLS100 is a global equity fund.   VLS20 through to 80 are multi-asset funds.

     Absolutely essential within the VLS range for younger people wanting to implement life-cycle/target retirement strategy. Perhaps you are not aware of the concept. 
    You are mixing your Vanguard funds up.   There is no target retirement strategy with VLS.  That is VTR.

    VLS funds are designed as a set of “do it yourself” target retirement strategy funds. One would start with VLS100 and then start moving  to 80, 60, etc within 10 years of retirement. Hence the name. Gives more flexibility than VTR.
