Porting with Prudential - Timescale

Hi,
We're in the latter stages of a house purchase where the top of the chain has just announced they've decided to port their mortgage with Prudential to their new property. We were hoping to talk exchange dates this week and our mortgage offer expires towards the end of September, so are feeling somewhat anxious that this development could delay things considerably.
Can anyone advise what sort of timescale we could be faced with here? Our understanding is that they've applied very recently (last week sometime) and have paid for a valuation to happen so far.
Many thanks
