Barclays defaulted my account without warning (credit card)

    I'll complain but not entirely sure what I'm going to be saying!
    You should quote FCA guidance which states that a default should be issued only after between 3 and 6 missed contractual repayments, so they have not treated you in accordance with guidance.

    There is no particular penalty for what has happened, you may get a small amount of compensation and an apology, or they may go further and re-call the debt from PRA Group, if they do this it may include credit file data removal, I stress may include, they have even been known to write off debts for errors such as this.

    I`m not saying that this will definitely happen with you, but what I am saying is its always worth a letter of complaint.
