Companies overcharging for branded goods on their websites.

Browsing the M & S website I noticed they are now selling branded goods.  I was drawn to a White Stuff crossbody bag (Winnie) for £45. I thought I better check the White Stuff site and the bag was there .... for £35! Why the difference? I have contacted M & S online but no-one could offer a sensible answer,. The latest message talks about 'Good Stuff'!  (Incidentally, the bag is also on the Next website for the extra £10.)  Who in their right mind would buy branded goods from other companies?

It happens sadly, they are relying on people ordering from M&S and not comparing. They will probably sell loads.
