My Dad has recently become housebound. He has had a few falls recently.
We have found our local adult care to be amazing
He will be getting a free stairlift
A free hospital bed in his home
New bannisters for free
We have been so impressed
The lady came today to discuss a wet room , she said this would be means tested ( fair enough ) but does anyone know how much savings my parents are allowed to have before they qualify for things like a wet room that would be means tested ?

If it’s the disabled facilities grant then it’s dependant on certain benefits and savings over 6K will affect the means test.

All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.1 -

You might consider a walk in shower rather than a wet room, if he has to part finance it.
A wet room will be vastly more expensive and much more disruptive to install.
Replacing a bath with a walk in shower is relatively simple and can be done in less than a week.No free lunch, and no free laptop
