When someone asked me how much the 'discount' was for allowing your supplier to have a direct debit, I didn't know so I looked into it. For me:
standard direct debit tariff (I have Economy 7)
Day/night 31.37/ 21.33p per unit
standing charge 51.71p per day
without direct debit
Day/night 33.12/ 17.31p per unit
standing charge 56.62p per day
I would like to see a regional "top of the suppliers" list on here
We know that each energy company makes up it's own figures in how it distributes the price cap and even for each area, I was searching google for my tariff rather my my energy company and got hold of the their tariff for the South West and was shocked at how much more it was.
If we knew an energy company charged less for Standing Charge and more for usage then those that are able to cut back could move to them (if they will have them)
