Well I went into town to get one. NONE on shelves, thought here we go as I missed out on last weeks Lego deal.
So I go to the counter & ask for COD4 for the 360...Ok he says & goes out the back. Through the till it goes & then says £24.99 please. Oh I say I thought it was the half RRP price game of the week so it ought to be £19.99. He calls a collegue over & prompts him & between the 2 of them they agree withing about 8 seconds that somethings amiss & price over ride.

I'd have paid £24.99 & on the window although I didn't see it beforehand they sell it for £49.99 so half of their store price. Well I didn't know any different but worked for me...result.

Thanks so much for the heads up. This MSE is great for making shortcuts but a bu&&er for finding bargains you weren't looking for!

    Merry Christmas all.
  • Was £24 for Xbox 360 and £16 for the PC when I went into my local store (Falkirk) at lunchtime. Was looking for the Star Wars Complete Saga for £19, but wasn't there - can get it online though!

Or not - it's blddy well sold out now!

Oh well, "He who hesitates" and all that.
  • Just got one from my local Gamestation in Kettering for PS3 - £24.99. The game wasn't on the shelves at all, plus I didn't see any posters advertising the offer. There was a big pile of games behind the till fortunately.
I was worried they had sold out when I didn't see any on the shelves, I wonder if any other stores will pricematch this - like Game for instance?

Just rang gamestation. They do have this game in stock and its £24.99 for the PS3. I did say its only £29.99 full price on line and they said they dont price match their on line site!!

So they dont have it in stock on line, only in the shops but its £10 more expensive for the PS3 game.

What strange logic. How is £24.99 ,£10 more expensive than £29.99.

If you can get it for £14.99 on the PS3 then I can see where you are coming from !!

Damn, I'd have paid £16 for it on PC, but my store still had it for £33!

Also FPS aren't as good on a console as a PC, as a control pad is much slower than a mouse.

And sorry if I offended you about the deal, but if it was PC aswell then it would have been great.
