Don't know anything about hd recorders, is 20 gb meant to be good or bad?0
-
20gb is bad, its the lowest you can get - they go up to 160gb. (20gb is 10 hrs of recording). Just did a quick search and it just seems to be a discontinued box which isn't worth more than the price, probably worth less0
-
you can put a new hard drive in it, however this may invalidate your warranty.0

20gb really isnt enough on a dual receiver. I have a 40gb Humax and they updated the pvr from 40gb to 80gb late last year and thats with only one receiver. Wait for the dual Humax should be good they do really good hardware at affordable prices

A quick Froogle reveals that Direct Electronics are selling this box for £115 with free delivery:
Pace Twin - Direct Electronics
As others have said this is now a very old box, struggles with the EPG and even with the latest software release has a few quirks.

I'm going to move this thread to Shop but don't drop as it seems you can get this cheaper elsewhere and so doesn't seem to be a bargain that needs to be grabbed quickly

Bargain, as in ... buying a new Rover is a bargain
By all means go for it if you have to have a freview PVR now, but it is very basic, buggy and out-of-date. It's a bit like buying a B&W portable TV for your living roomJumbo

Hmmm. There is a LOT of respect for the pace twin, as well as a lot of dissing. It seems the boxes are wildly variable, but if you get a good one, it can be considered one of the best still available today. A problematic purchase indeed, but I have seen posts on forums where users are desperately trying to get another from somewhere before they completely sell out!!!0
