advice wanted about online banking fraud

Last week my current online current account was cleared out. lloyds Tsb are putting the onus on me even though I know no-one else knew my passwords. Lloyds have aggreed to pay some of the money back, but haven't yet, and might reimburse the rest after their investigations! Surely they should look after my hard-earned cash better than this!
Does anyone know where I stand on this? Can I demand my money back straight away? I'd be very grateful to receive any advice before contacting them again or involving the legal services.
Thanks

I believe you do your best:

    Personal banking > Security

It is not that easy with online banking.

We protect you against fraud on Lloyd TSB Internet banking. We use industry-standard levels of security. Of course, you must be careful, for example, take reasonable steps to keep your security information secret at all times. If you do, we will refund your money in the unlikely event of fraud.

I doubt you can insist on the money straight away. They will do their investigations and you have to wait and see, if you don't like the outcome go to the banking regulator.

I think I'll go and check my accounts.

A simple first step is to click on the "Tools" tab at the top of internet Explorer, then "Internet Options" then "Advanced" and if you scroll down the page to security there are 2 boxes you need to make sure are ticked

    1) Do not save encrypted Pages to disk
2)Empty Temporary Internet Files folder when Browser is closed

then go off and read the 2 articles and take all the recommended actions !!

    Thanks!!

I just did that internet options security thing - why dont computers come with an easy to read manual to tell you how to do things like increase security?? Ive always tried to refrain from meddling with the 'brains' of the PC, incase I mess it up and end up having a crash
