M&S Carrier Bag Charge

The price of a food hall carrier bag is increasing from 8 Aug from 15p to 25p.......wonder how much of this is going to charity.

    Whether it is, or whether it's not... it's helping the reduce of cr*p going into the environment.

    Do people really still buy bags?????

    You might want to mention which part of the UK this is - here in NI, all retailers have had to charge at least 25p since April. It goes to DAERA to fund environmental projects.

    It's far more money-saving to buy a fold up bag to live in a pocket or handbag - mine cost £1 from IKEA, but I've seen them in the pound shop and other 'bargain' stores too.

    Good, as @JGB1955 says don't care where the money goes.  The people I see buying carrier bags the most are young adults, drives me crazy!

    Mine is from IKEA, it has polar bears on it, kind of focuses the mind.
