Hello again, it's a dubious looking start this morning weatherwise, we'll see how it turns out.Hope you are ok Mehefin, you'll be shaken up.I've just been reading yesterday's thread, and I think we are all realising how prices are rocketing, scary isn't it.Don't do too much Nels, you'll make yourself ill. You've got a lot on at the moment I know, but try and pace yourself.Izzy, hope the hairdresser offers good advice, and you get a style you can easily care for yourself. I don't know about you but I can't be bothered with faffing these days.Camelot, glad you enjoyed your time away.We had a good time at Alnwick yesterday, it wasn't as busy as I thought it would be. Had a wander round the town after we left the gardens, I went into a chazzer or two but didn't buy anything, I'm more restrained these days. I think we'll need every penny for the dreaded energy bill.I'm visiting a friend in hospital today I think, if she's well enough. I'll ring the ward beforehand to check.Hope everyone has a good Saturday, take care folks.12

Morning all, thanks for starting us off Scarlet. It's good to hear that you enjoyed the gardens. It seems like another fine day in the offing. The night was very muggy and uncomfortable so I'm glad there's a breeze coming through.Yesterday I was fairly lazy before my appointment though I did managed a quick trip to JL. I wanted to buy a new net for the bathroom window but they didn't have many in stock. The assistant told me that most are being moved to online only. A sign of the times. Anyway, I wandered through the womenswear and picked up a couple of tops for my suitcase, I'm really pleased with them both.Today I'm leaving Glasgow for Newcastle. It'll take about three hours so I'm aiming to arrive at lunchtime'ish. I've downloaded a new audiobook to keep me occupied during the drive.Mehfin - the horsey incident sounds horrific, putting your feet up to help healing is definitely in order.Nelski - you're doing a terrific job for your Mum. Hope you enjoy the ABBA event. 😀
I can't refer back to yesterday's thread on my tablet so sorry I've missed out stuff.TA - how was the dancing? Did you have a happy cry?I hope that all's well with folk. Happy Saturday to all.11 -
Morning folks and thanks SCARLET. That sounds like a nice day out. We have sun this morning and no sign of that dratted cold wind which sneaked back again yesterday. Once again it was warm out of it but chilly in it!
It was a lovely show last night, to a full house. It was youngest DGDs first time "on stage" in pointes and she looked so tiny compared to the others despite not much age difference! She was a little star!
Today is her 12th birthday but she would pass for about 9 easily. So petite. DD is having an open house (but hopefully garden) for her this afternoon. All but 2 of her friends are away on holiday so family and DD's friends and children are coming to make up the numbers! As always DD is at the last minute with plans and yesterday spotted some garden furniture in a sale which she couldn't resist and now wants them assembled for this afternoon. Her lovely chappie is away on a stag day so grandma has been roped in to assist. I am charging the electric screwdriver/drill thing to hopefully make the job easier!
Have a good day all and ((HUGS)) for the poorlies and fed up. GERS safe journey to Newcastle. NELS hope Abba day was fun. Take care one and all and stay safe xx

Morning All
Very overcast and a little drizzly this morning, glad I got all the washing dried outside yesterday. I made up the three visitor's beds yesterday so upstairs looks a lot tidier. Grass cut and the garden tidied, I picked a big bowlful of peas from the allotment along with 5 large courgettes - two have been given to a neighbour, I ate one for tea and I'll see about pickling the others, they will be fine with my salads when I go back to work.
Safe journey Gers, enjoy meeting up with your friends.
Glad you enjoyed your visit to Alnwick Scarlet.
Happy to hear you enjoyed the show TA, happy birthday to your DGD, hope you all enjoy the celebrations.
Take your time Nelski, I think the Solicitor needs to read her emails!
I need to do a bit of shopping this morning, the little one is arriving around lunchtime for a sleepover, we'll go swimming and to the park if the weather cheers up.
Have a good weekend, take care. XX

Well not sure what happened but fell asleep just after 9 last night and was wide awake from 3 until 5 so got up and completed some surveys
Need to pop out for a couple of last minute bits for tonight's BBQ and have another hoover round I forget how messy shredders can be
Had a message from Jackie O to say she is having problems getting back into the site again and to let you know
She is going to give it another go during the week but I know how frustrating it can be when it doesn't let you on hopefully she will have more success
Hope everyone is ok and has a good Saturday
Hugs to all who need them

Hello all, I'm bringing up the rear today !
Yesterday was busy but got everything done then received a SOS call from Dad as his toilet wasn't flushing so Acme Plumbers to the rescue 😂 A trip to b&q was needed and a new handle installed as the old one had snapped inside the tank. It's still not right and needs more investigation but it will flush for now, Mr Fix It will go back and give it a follow up when we get back from hols. I think he'll have a list of things to for us do when we get back 😁
Today we have been over the van to take the cover off and give the van a wipe down, then on the way home we called in DD's for coffee and to leave SiL's birthday present as they will be away on hols when we come home. We're having a coffee then we'll get the cover out and brush it down then fold it up properly so it fits in it's bag. I've been scratching my head looking for 2 flat freezer blocks that fit into the cooler bag, I know I moved them to a safe place, but where ? I've looked in all the obvious places, now I'll have to look in the non obvious ones.
TA glad you enjoyed the dance concert, what proud grandma wouldn't 😍 My 2 DGC are both like giraffes, think they follow after SiL who's 6`4 😲 At least I can rely on them to reach up to the top shelves, being vertically challenged I'm better at lower level shelves ! Happy birthday to your DGD, 12 today 🎂
Izzy happy birthday to your DGD for next week when she'll be a teenager.
Nels enjoy your ABBA day, hope you get a good sing song and cake !
NRA hope you are getting into the swing of retirement, it takes a while but soon you'll wonder how you ever had time to go to work 😄
Right I'm off to look for those freezer blocks, again 🤔
Take care all
