Food help

Hi all was on Weight watchers points plan so my spending was limited to things i could easily point lol.

Changing plan to one where i can eat any non processed food.

Couple of Questions

1. What is the ideal spend per week/month on a family of 2 + 2 cats
2. Whats the best things to buy?

Any other advice would be brill, we do a shop online once a month but the problems i face are the fact that my freezer is tiny so once meat is in there theres no room for milk/bread so i always have to buy more every couple of days which is beginning to cost quite a bit on top

Thanks in advance for help

I'm also changing over to eating "real" food instead of the processed junk I was scoffing on WW. I have now cancelled my WW membership and have given myself December as time off.

I don't have any advise for you as such, I'm spending this month practicing my "back to basic" skills such as pastry making that I haven't used for so long. I was brought up on real food even though my mum and dad didn't have much money, and that is where I'm aiming to go back to, as I was never overweight then.

At the moment I'm doing the grocery challenge and am aiming to spend only £30 per week, but I did have well stocked cupboards to start with. There are 2 adults in our house, and a 3 year old who isn't much interested in food.

I would say that good things to buy are things that will do several meals, like chicken, which will do a roast, some sandwiches, a curry and then the carcase can be cooked to make stock for soup.
