Remortgaging with 4 missed payments

Hi my husband and I are looking to remortgage to pay off some debts and it’s the end of our deal.
I have 4 missed payments one of which will drop of in sept. 2 of which I completely repaid. Should we wait until after sept when one will drop off my file due to being over 6 years.

Easier if staying with the same lender.

@another How old is the most recent missed payment, and what number is it showing as on the report? The older the missed payments are, the less likely they are to be relevant to a mortgage. I struggle to think of any scenarios in which a 5+ year old missed payment would make a difference either way so I don't think there's likely to be much to gain by waiting for one to drop off.another said:Hi my husband and I are looking to remortgage to pay off some debts and it’s the end of our deal.

If the end of your fix is coming up soon, I would recommend researching your options now for a debt-consolidation capital raise remortgage. Get a copy of your credit reports (at least Experian and Equifax) and speak to a whole of market broker. The MSE guide here will help you on how to find one. Good luck!
