Morning
Hugs to those that want/need them, those who are poorly and those who are looking after a poorly person x
Happy birthday to those with a birthday x
Now light, dry underfoot but cloudy.. Wash load ready to peg out.
DH and DS1 getting ready for work, I'm showered, dressed and enjoying my first cuppa and my porridge whilst on here. DS2 settled and happy.
Dinner last night was herbed chicken and rice, I had salad with my chicken. Not sure about tonight but have a few options.
Work ok, we have quite a few staff off sick yet again.
Keep safe and well x

Morning folks, thanks for starting us off nmlc. What a contrast to yesterday morning, today it's truly miserable outside. High winds and battering rain ☔️ with thick low-lying white cloud though it's forecasted to clear up by 8.15am.I turned into a real sloth yesterday, achieved very little and watched a lot of the games until late in the evening. More great results from home teams. Once again Duncan Scott was a star.Today I will sort out my backpack for my few days away and then take my rubbish to the tip. Riveting? 😂
For now I wish a happy Tuesday to all.10 -
Morning folks and thanks NMLC. Here we go again - another mizzly start. Although yesterday started off sunny it ended up rather cloudy all day, but still warm. If the local forecast is to be believed we are in for a long run of summer weather from tomorrow! It will be lovely if it happens.
I'm up and at 'em early this morning as I have an appointment at the vets with Sparkle early doors. More expense! Will I or won't I manage to get her into the carrier with not much bother?!
Then straight back to deposit Sparkle and off again to meet my BFF for our usual coffees and lunch. I haven't met her for 2 weeks as she had her DGD's graduation and then last week she felt rough after her new Chemo session. That lasted a few days before she started feeling better.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies and fed ups. Happy holiday to everyone disappearing. It will be quiet on here for a week or two I expect. Take care one and all and be safe xx

Good morning, thanks for starting NMLC.It's damp and windy here, a bit of a change from yesterday.I was busy round the house yesterday, got some washing out and it dried, I just had to finish towels off in the TD.Today Dgs , Dgd and possibly one of Dgd's friends are coming, DD is going to their little holiday house to strip wallpaper. The girls will amuse themselves, Dgs will probably want to spend time at the station watching trains. We'll go to the quiz tonight.Hope you survive Sparkle's visit to the vet TA, and hope your purse survives enough to buy a coffee! Also hope your friend is feeling better.I heard yesterday that one of the friends I go to Dobbies with, has leukaemia - the last time I saw her she said she hadn't been well and was having tests, so I'm thinking of her. She's older than me but has always been an active, strong person.Hope everyone has a good day - take care folks.11

Morning all,
Bright start here so I will get another wash load done today. Nothing beats line dried washing smell mmmmmm!
We are in the process of decorating our hallway, stairs and landing. All woodwork needs painting x 3 coats and we managed 3 doors both sides last night after work. I'd put some bolognaise in the SC so we could eat once we'd finished. Tonight I'll do some sweet chilli chicken thighs with rice and veg, so off to marinate those shortly.
I have a dilemma. Went to a boot fair on Sunday and on the way back I stopped for fuel. There were 2 queues to pay and the lady who served me was also doing coffees as it has a takeaway cafe in the shop. Anyway I scanned my points card and then she asked me to scan my payment card. It beeped, she turned away and started making a coffee for someone who was waiting, I waited a bit more as I like to get a receipt, she then started making another coffee, so I waited a bit more then I left. I have an app for that payment card and it still isn't showing, not even as pending, so I'm wondering if it went through?! WWYD? Should I wait a bit longer? It's a 15 minute drive away but I don't want to end up on Police 5 Most Wanted! Obvs there is CCTV at fuel stations so they will be able to trace me from my car registration. Oh gawd!
Good luck with your Sparkle wrangling TA.
Have a good day all,
Coxy

Morning all well the forecast is for a sunny day up to 30 degrees then cooler as of tomorrow. I was supposed to be visiting my aunt just out of hospital but she has broken a tooth so will let me know later if she is free or has a dentist appointment. If i am home i will do some washing in the new machine i did a load last night and that is on the line now . I am debating wether to invest in a ninja double air fryer i have a small one which i use regularly but i could do with a larger one still weighing it up .Dog has been walked and fed so just relaxing with a cuppa cottage pie and peas tonight
TA Hope the vets goes ok and your friend is feeling a bit better
Scarlett Sorry to hear about your friend enjoy the GC's
Gers Enjoy your fun packed day

Morning everyone
My mam was late getting picked up yesterday as there had been a bad crash involving oil tankers on the A1 - her appointment was moved to an hour later and then she had to wait to be brought home again - ended up being 8.30 by the time she got back! Dad usually goes to bed very early but he wanted to wait up to see her - he was getting more and more stressed as time went on. It made me feel very sad as it was just like a small child might panic when they're out of their routine.
This morning I'm off to Newcastle again to the dental lab - I'll be home by about 2pm as I still have to finish packing then little one is coming up. Had some worrying news from her hospital appointment yesterday - she needs more tests but might have to have the big operation on her stomach re-done. They did warn us that as children grow it does sometimes need to be done again - it's more than 2 years since the first one.
Also the doctor she sees about her blood sugars is trying to get her a bed for next Monday for a couple of days to monitor again.
Right I better go and get sorted - hope everyone has a good day x10 -
Morning all. Dull this moring but as long asit rains later, I'll be happy. Got a wood delivery this morning so stakcing is on the cards, I hope he phones with an expected time soon, I wanted to try and get some long bits of wood from a diy place to hem the wood in on the alcoves I usually just wedge any old wood in there to stop it falling out but I would like a neater solution. And I want to take photos of the car to sell now that the seagull poo has washed off. At least it's still clean inside. I think that's enough for one day OH has early doors in work today so he can go and play little men with one of his friends so he'd like a lift with his bags of armies later too. Ccup of tea to wake up and then I'l nip to the place. Lunch was really rather good yesterday, parmesan and truffle fries were sublime...I will go again when I'm thinner in anticipation.Gers, you're allowed to relax and do nothing you know, you don't have to be doing all the time, a lesson It took me a long time to learn. And no ones days are exciting all the timme..TA, good luck with sparkle, enjoy the day out. Scarlet, hope your friend cn be easily treated. Coxy, morally, well, you should go back, but in situations like that I always adopt WWDD..this is What Would Daddy Do, and what my father would have done was count his lucky stars and take it as a win...I wouldn't go back, but that's because I am morally flexible these days and not absolutely honest like I used ot be because a lot fo the time, it just doesn't pay. And i can live with it. There probably is a discusiion about not being rich v being rich and moral v morally flexible but that's another time
dp1, hope your gd can be treated with minimum of fuss for her too. Take care today folks...

Morning all, we've had a bit of rain this morning but it seems to be brightening up now and the rain has stopped.
I got all the washing dried yesterday and I did all the ironing as I thought, but I've still got 3 items left to do, they were on the line and I forgot about them ! 😠 I also deadheaded my potted geraniums, they've been spectacular and I'm hoping for a 3rd flowering. I put the bins out and did a bit of garden tidying, then picked more blackberries, I was like a whirling dervish !
Today we're going to a small out of town shopping centre as I want some new cushions and Mr Fix It wants new shorts. We're waiting until rush hour has passed before we set off as we have to drive through town first and it's like crazy cars.
dp1 have a lovely holiday. I shall send little ones many gentle hugs.
Camelot sorry I didn't see your post till late last night. We're taking our van to an exotic location............ deepest, darkest Somerset 😂 East Huntspill to be exact, a nice quiet adult only site and hopefully time for a change of scenery, put your feet up and watch the world go by, weather permitting.
Have a good day all.
Take care, hugs to all

M orning all,Horrible day here, rained all night & the gutter overflowed onto the bin & next doors path, which woke me up a couple of times so I feel shattered already.DH just took his ladders back to the storage place yesterday otherwise he could have cleared it today. No chance of washing being put out today! Yesterday was quite nice when the sun came out & I did a bit of gardening. DB2 called and had a cuppa, they're away again next week but will see them at the match on Saturday for our 1st home game of the season. Tea was the leftover curry, just as nice the 2nd time!Scarlet, sorry to hear about your friend.I need to get some different bird food, the woodpigeons don't seem to like it as it has what looks like dried raisins that they leave
. I've added some to my T shop for Friday. Bits and pieces for tea to use up what we left on Sunday.
Dp1, hugs for little one.Taff hope your wood came early.Wishing good days for everyone x
