Any cheaper alternatives to Just for Men dye

I've used Just For Men dye to cover grey hair but it can be quite expensive. I use a colour to naturally blend dark hair in without dyeing everything a really dark colour.
I was speaking with a shop assistant though who mentioned that the ladies dyes can be much cheaper and just as good. I was wondering if anyone might recommend a cheap brand they use which is also quick and easy to use and can be applied in 5 mins?
