P11D notice to pay tax bill received July 2020 - for the Tax year 2018/19 - I wrote to dispute it. I have not had any further communication from the Tax office. I am now Self Employed. Question for anyone that may know. Is there a time laps in communication that says this bill can be written off? I have looked on my Personal Tax account on line, nothing is mentioned. My accounts have been done by an accountant for the last 3 years, nothing has come up?
Thanks in advance

Thank you Jeremy - for the reply and link, that has made it clear. Probably as I expected - I'll leave the money I have saved to pay the bill where it is for the time being and await the knock at the door! metaphorically speaking... 😢 🤞
n England and Wales only, the Limitation Act 1980 provides that recovery action for debts should commence within six years from the debt becoming payable. But Section 37(2) of the Act excludes proceedings for recovery of tax or duty and interest on tax or duty thus there is no time limit for those debts.

A P11D is not a bill. It is issued by an employer giving details of benefits or expenses given to an employee.0

Call me a nosy parker but I'm interested to know what benefit in kind/expense you disputed your employer had given you0
