Do Halifax offer Mortgage extensions...

I am in the process of buying a house, and we have a Halifax mortgage offer in place, which expires at the end of September.
We are not selling our existing property, however the sellers haven't found a house to move to, and realistically they will be unable to complete by end of September...
Does anybody know if Halifax offer extensions, surely many people in a chain may experience delays?

@mrbounce Halifax offers have an expiry date based on the 'complete-by' date of the product that you applied for.MrBounce said:I am in the process of buying a house, and we have a Halifax mortgage offer in place, which expires at the end of September.

To 'extend' the offer what I've to do as a broker is select a new product (as per whatever is available at the time) which then gives you a new complete-by date. It's a pretty straightforward process and doesn't involve starting from scratch, the only major con being that you'll move to a new product/rate.I am a Mortgage Adviser - You should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
