Council Tax Rebate

Hello, I currently rent a room in a property that falls in Band D thus would be eligible for the rent rebate.
The council tax is paid as part of our rent, but have not seen on heard about receiving some of the rebate from the landlady.
I know I should email and ask about this, as I feel out of courtesy they should pay the money back to us, but am wondering if anyone has been in the same situation and how have you gone about asking about receiving he money

If you are just renting a room, it sounds as if you may be in a House of Multiple Occupation. If this is the case then no-one is eligible for the rebateIf you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0
