Getting a valuation for Remortgage BTL HSBC

Im looking at remortgaging my property currently with nationwide to HSBC BTL.

I was wondering how i would value the property for the application? Is a zoopla online valuation sufficient?

@block10 It's only an estimate so you could use the resources at hand to get an approximate valuation. For example, - - what Nationwide values your property at (should be able to see that if you try to start a PT)
- look at what websites like Zoopla, Mouse price etc. say

- look at recent sold, asking prices for similar properties in the area, etc.

If you're looking to release equity up to a certain LTV, or there's a chance that you'll go down an LTV band with a certain number, there's no harm in giving a slightly optimistic estimate. There's no harm done if it comes back down-valued, you may need to readjust the borrowing amount or the product selected.
