    hi there.

well we won the corsa and the £10k within 24 hours of each other... they were via local radio shows, i won one and the mrs won the other. was a real freak moment and a bit of a life changer (as sad as that sounds, but it just changes your montly repayments on a car.. and gives you a bit of money to invest and pay off bills etc). We still have the newspaper clipings and internet links to newspaper articles as people find it hard to believe when you explain it!

you wouldnt believe how many messages I get from people off here wanting to know "the secret", but all we do is tune into different radio shows during peak times (drivetime, breakfast... etc) and just try our luck. Make sure you stick to terms and conditions and you can't go wrong.

Yesterday I won some flights to Europe (BRMB)... a few days before we won £1000... also Yesterday we nearly won a trip to New York on Virgin Radio, but I messed up (do'h!)... I went to stay with my parents for a few days last year and when i woke up I turned the radio on "call us now for your chance to win £1000" they said...so i did... and I did. You get the idea!

I'm in the Hoxton Hotel on the 8th Feb and I'll be taking a DAB radio with me (the £1 room give away... different area, not been on their station yet) I'll have the radio with me and If I hear a comp i'll enter it. As long as it doesn't really interfere with my day too much then I don't mind entering the comps. I don't spend hours and hours doing internet comps as I hate waiting for results, thats why I like radio... results are instant.

I should write a book shouldn't I... that gives me a cunning plan!!

    anyway... best of luck!

I must say Super_dad i used to do the radio comps myself around 10 years ago and had some nice little wins. Won over £3000 on one comp, Home PC on another, satelite dish and subscription when it was still expensive, Videos, Flights...personally i would go out for a big night out on the Saturday night and just listen to the radio on the Sunday unwilling to do anything else while i was still badly hungover! :D It was very time consuming though, sometimes spending an entire morning or afternoon waiting for a particular song to come on...i did learn a trick or 2 to shorten my chances of winning dramatically! ;)

Good luck to anyone going down the radio comp route!
Comp wins 2010 (Feb onwards) - loads of books, CD, Toys, Photographic lighting rig, Mobile phone, 16GB ipod Nano, Digital camera

    Comp wins 09 - £4500, 08 - £345.70!
  • and what might these tricks have been?;)

I like being nosey, plus it inspires me to keep trying and entering competitions through my seemingly endless dry patch.

Bit late in posting on here BUT my total for 2007 was £2633.43.

So including Helga14's total and mine, that's £311413.48... Impressive!
