Awesome August's NSD Challenge!

Options
This challenge is about setting yourself a weekly/monthly target of how many No Spend Days you would like to achieve during August. To join, just post your personal target and you are on your way!

Tips for the challenge:
1. Decide on a clear goal weekly or monthly of how many No Spend days you'd like to try and achieve. If you've never done the challenge before, it's probably better to start with a goal of 10 or (at most) 15.
2. It is fine to exclude necessary expenses eg petrol, groceries, pet food, etc, when it comes to deciding what is and isn't an NSD. It is also completely fine to exclude automated or recurring payments such as bills, mortgage or direct debits.
3. It does help to post every time you notch up an NSD, or at least every two or three days ... it's easy to lose track! If you want to keep track of your NSDs in your MSE signature, that can be really motivating too image
4. It also helps to bookmark the thread, it's much easier to find image
5. NSDs are trickier than they seem and easily derailed. It makes the challenge much easier if you notch up as many as you can in the first half of the month.

Going to be a busy month, DH changing jobs, eldest finishing part time job to start an apprenticeship, step dad here firing new bathroom, mum busting for my 40th and 2 eldest children away for a few days then back as school starts argh must try not to spend other than what is actually needed
Good luck! It's your 40th too though, so around the busy days, enjoy yourself! It's a special month for you xxx

    August eh?!

Well, thanks @cathybird again for setting this up/keeping us going!  I only did a last few days, but the difference in not spending over the few days post pay day, will help me MASSIVELY in August, particularly as between pay days is a huge 33 days this month. Mentally though, having a load of money in my account for a few days, has also felt pretty good, if slightly nerve wracking.

I'm going on lots of little trips during August, so I need to make sure I don't spend on the days in between!

    Good luck everyone!  B)

I too have a big birthday this month.
Had not thought of the whole of the month being special though!

    Kicking off with no 1.
