Paid off by debt, but taken to Court

I owed some money on service charge. My fault.
They wrote to me I had to pay £1,500 by 15 July. However, I was late and paid 20 July. However, on the 19th they filed the debt with the Court. It was unlucky.

Despite paying off £1,500. I now own £1,200 which they say is their legal fees. Is this fair and reasonable?

You have received a claim form is that correct ?
Pretty simple response really, you have paid the debt, so there is no case to answer.

But the remaining debt is allegedly the legal cost sand court fees, not the overdue service charge.
Are these costs excessive? Ask for a breakdown of them.No free lunch, and no free laptop
