Hi all
looking for some advice. Came home today to a letter by a company called H Collect. Who are debt collectors working for JC international. They are looking to recover money but don’t owe any money for anything that we are aware of. The letter also doesn’t state who they are collecting debt for.

I have a excellent credit rating and by no means have issues with debt.
Trying to work out if this is a scam and what we should do to resolve.
Any advice welcome

I would either ignore it as they could be writing to anyone with the same name as you, otherwise start by sending the prove it letter https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/2607247/letter-when-you-know-nothing-about-about-the-debt-aka-prove-it-letterCredit card debt - NIL
Home improvement secured loans 30,130/41,000 and 23,156/28,000 End 2027 and 2029
Mortgage 64,513/100,000 End Nov 2035
2022 all rolling into new mortgage + extra to finish house. 125,000 End 20360 -
As above, anything to do with debt has to be proved when asked.

Hi all. I sent a Prove it letter and had no response to this. This was sent recorded delivery when I last posted. However, received a text yesterday to call them quoting case reference number. My guess is that I send a further prove it letter noting my previous recorded delivery letter?Just wanted to check however re: thoughts of calling them as they have stated in text0

I wouldn't respond to a text. I wouldn't call them
They wrote a letter demanding money
You wrote back asking them to evidence their position
The ball is still in their court.2
