Three 5G Data SIM - 40GB Renewed Every Month until 8th April 2024 - Works out around £3.40 Per Month

No roaming and you need to email support to find your remaining data balance for the month. I've got one as a backup for home internet outages as I work from home. Its from a business reseller, I suspect these are surplus from a business project.
Interestingly the deal got instantly banned from another premiere deals site. A subsequent social post about that was also removed. I don't think the seller is in any way a scam, it's just not an 'approved' Amazon merchant. Deals in more sense than one, then.
My takeaway is, don't rely on big deals sites and assume you're saving money!

An interesting deal - thanks. HUKD (presumably?) will have taken it off because the seller's got iffy feedback - there is a risk attached to this.buglawton said:

My takeaway is, don't rely on big deals sites and assume you're saving money!Iffy feedback where? Amazon had one of it's products at three 5 star reviews and another product at one 5 and one 1 star - reading up the bad review, the buyer didn't realise the SIM is managed by Scancom and not by Three and hadn't been able to log into the account. Poor wording in the listing is maybe to blame for that. I've tried my SIM feeding the main house router and it's nearly indistinguishable from Virgin Media.Banning even discussing the deal - really odd. Looks like there's zealous gatekeeping going on with punters being steered to erm... good deals for the deals site.0 -
Maybe the fact that it's Scancom you have to deal with if there's any kind of problem, rather than Three itself, IS the problem. Looks too risky to me.buglawton said:Doc_N said:

A vague idea like 'looks too risky' would block half the deals on the big deals sites. Meanwhile the deal sites leave it up to the consumers to post about any bad review points - but at least for big name products and retailers the discussion is allowed to start.Doc_N said:

Be careful with Three. they have rubbish customer support.they are disorganised, there 4g internet had network issues every few weeks.when you first starting using their data/internet youll get fast speeds as youd expect, but once the cooling off period finishes strangely the speeds start going down.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. Had nothing but trouble with Three after trying their 5g broadband. Customer service was awful. Spent over 8 hours on the phone to them over 2 weeks. Although I live in an 'excellent area for coverage' - it kept falling over for hours at a time. So even with an amazing deal, I'd be wary of anyone signing up to Three.0
