I'm having A solar array installed 3 panels on West and 3 on East. Giving me a 2kw system.
Looking at my energy bills I use around 2100kwh a year, so quite a low user I'd imagine.
I'm usually out between 8am to 5pm Mon to Thursday Fri to Sun In and out a bit more during the day, but I don't think my energy consumption changes much over the days.
What do you think this system may save me?
And how does seg work?

OP has previously asked a similar question over on the Energy board. We've given the basics in that one.

If you generate 2000kWh/yr, use half and export the rest at 7.5p/kWh, that's £75/yr.
- your installer will issue you with a MCS Certificate - this confirms that your installation meets minimum standards.
- your installer will notify your DNO of your PV installation (G98 notification). The DNO will acknowledge the notification.
- you will send a copy of the DNO acknowledgement and the MCS certificate to your supplier.
- your supplier will apply for an export MPAN for your address, and will arrange installation of a smart meter if you don't already have one.

After my first year, I calculated my savings - I reckon they were about 2/3 due to reduction in import and 1/3 from SEG.4.3kW PV, 3.6kW inverter. Octopus Agile import, gas Tracker. Zoe. Ripple x 3. Cheshire0
