Thanks for the feedback all. I have found another company to quote who are a bit cheaper so will likely go with them

Good one. Would you mind sharing the quote (and the company)?

Its still not as cheap as some people have managed but its £8.5k for the system (Solar edge, 5kW split array) including immersion heater controller and bird protection. They have come out to do a site survey so I know that's the fixed price for the system. My third quote was even higher than the first.

My set up isnt a million miles away from yours except without the battery so am a bit reassured on price I have got.

Prices are going up a lot at the moment so I think there is a lot of people saying set ups are too expensive but I think its just the direction of travel at the moment.

    JA Solar 370W Solar Panels x 12
1 x 3680W SolarEdge Inverter with Power Optimisers
On Roof Mounting System - Concrete Tiles
Any additional roof works are extra. Waste is left onsite.

    Cost £7150.08

    Scaffolding

    Cost £1000

    Multi array supplement

    Cost £350

So core system comes out at £8500.08

Sorry to say, but that's on the pricey side for an excellent inverter paired with not-so-excellent Chinese panels. My installer will do:

    10 X SHARP 400W Panels
    10 X SolarEdge Optimizers
1   X SolarEdge inverter (same as your quote).
25 Year warranty on all of the above (Your quote does not state this - 25 years is an installer paid for extra for the inverter)

£5750 installed all inclusive. (If you're more than 120 miles from the London area + £400 for their costs).

I would suggest you think about the need for batteries or a diverter following your install. DM me if I can help.
Screwdriva what do you think about this?

    26 x Jinko Tiger Neo 420W
    26 SolarEdge S440 optimisers
    1 x Solaredge HD Wave SE8000W Inverter
    1 x Generation Meter
    1 x SolarEdge Import/Export Meter
    1 x SolarEdge Energy Bank 10kW
    1 x Myenergi Zappi

I like everything in that quote except the panels. I'd ask to swap them with Sharp, Hyundai or (my fav) Solarwatt. Well done on the otherwise superb spec!
    -  10 x 400w LG + 6 x 550W SHARP BiFacial Panels + SE 3680 HD Wave Inverter + SE Optimizers. SE London.
    -  Triple aspect. (22% ENE/ 33% SSE/ 45% WSW)
    -  Viessmann 200-W on Advanced Weather Comp. (the most efficient gas boiler sold)

Feel free to DM me if I can help with any energy saving!

Please can I DM you to ask about this installer? Sorry to hijack this thread.
