Settled IVA Early

Hi

Newbie question here. I went into an IVA a few years ago, and settled it early thanks to a financial gift from my partner.

I had my certificate of completion issued 11 months ago.

I've read that the notification is on your credit file for six years, but on the IVA completed notification it says that it is only only your credit file for one year after you settled your IVA.

So does this mean my notification on my credit file should come off, or do I still have another two years until the six years are up?

    Hi there

information stays on your credit file for six years. So the IVA will ‘fall off’ six years after the day it started.
In the meantime, as I understand it, the information might be updated to state that the IVA has been ‘settled’, but the IVA itself will still be visible (I’m not an expert but someone with more knowledge will be able to confirm or correct this).

Sonic is 100% correct on this.

In the UK, any debt solution, CCJ or default, stays visible for 6 years from the date it was entered into.
