Hi all, ill try to be brief.
I've got a £350 debt, its for a low emissions charge.
I got the charge in November when I started a job, I was the driver, on the 1st night I text the wrong license plate number so the company didn't pay the ulez.
I wasn't able to pay the fine because I had just started working and the nature of the business, winters and autumns are very sslow.
so I phoned CDER to arrange a payment plan because indeed to pay I just can't pay it all at once.
I asked to set up a plan and the operator said I had to pay it all at once or they'll send an agent out to seize my goods. I pointed out the limited powers of his agent, he then said I could pay half now and the rest later, when I explained I couldn't affairs that he said the agent would seize my car, so again I told him where my car is parked and if the car was clamped and seized the agent would be trespassing. He then said I could pay £75.
What I'm asking is what would be the best step going forward? Should I write them instead and tell them what plan I can afford?
