Loan request after mortgage
Options
Hi everyone!
My house purchase is due to complete tomorrow, and the property needs a little TLC. I have some funds, but was hoping to apply for a top-up to a loan I already have to finance some additional work.
I will still be living in my current rented property until early September, so was wondering: when applying for a loan so close after completion, should I state my address as my newly bought house address, or the address that I will be staying at until September? I don’t want to inadvertently be fraudulent in my application.

Many thanks!

Tell them you rent xx and staying there and moving to xxx the property you bought on a loan tomorrow.0

Do you need to rush and apply for any finance now?
You have until Sept to save, then it's likely there will be delays getting around/finding the trades available to do the work, and then there is the fact you can do the work in stages with the funds you already have.
During all of this time you can be saving whatever the additional loan payments would be and potentially avoid needing credit altogether.1
