Moving House - Fish pond and goldfish

Options
Has anyone moved house with pond fish? I don't want to leave them behind as its being purchased by an investor for buy to let, so new occupier is unknown.

There isn't a pond in the new garden. The fish (goldish) are very frisky and there's lot of babies/different sizes. Recently put in a new pond and they spent a few days in a big old tin bathtub without any issues. But I think the new pond will take a bit longer. Looked at getting something like a stock tank but they are more than the new pond will cost!

Has anyone been through this?

I'm also worried about moving them into new water. The people I'm buying from are animal lovers so I may be able to ask them if I can set up some water in between exchange and completion....

Even if I'm on the shopping threads, it doesn't mean I'm buying! Sometimes it's good to just look and then hit the CLOSE button!

Old swimming pool / hot tub, clean and resell it after.

I've only moved indoor fish before in large tubs.

How long tdo you anticpate it takingto get your new pond set up? If it will be a while would you be open to rehiming them, which might be easier?
Depending ion their size then they might be OK in the tin bathtub until you can get the pond set up, especially if you make sure that you add some suitable waterplants, and maybe get a small pump to ensure that the water is properly areated.

Is it possibleto access the garden when the pond is currently, without going through the house? If so, and ifthe buyers aredoing any works before the rent the house out, they m,ight be iopen to letting you leave the m temeporarily until you get your pond set up,
