Iced Tea, has anyone made their own?

I was drinking iced tea (powdered from a pack) at my aunt's in Canada last week and it just occurred to me that i could make my own.
Has anyone got a favourite recipe? I have googled and there is a massive range of recipes , so would be nice to hear of some family favourites.

I've done it with herbal tea, throw the bag or spoon of herbs into cold water and let it steep. If it's too strong, pour a glass and top up with more water.
Also made ginger / lemon, mint / lemon from fresh items. The amount depends on individual taste.
If you mean a normal cup of tea, but iced, I can't help as I don't drink black / green tea.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.0 -
Definitely going to try mint tea seeing as I have half a forest of the stuff growing in my garden. When I tried mint tea in bags, tasted a bit like drinking toothpaste2024 Fashion on the Ration - 10/66 coupons used

I just brew a normal herbal tea and let it go cold, and then put in the fridge.
I always intended to do a cold brew tea with tea leaves in my cold brew machine; but never got around to it, because it always had coffee in it 😁GC Jan £101.91/£150 Feb £70.96/150 Mar £67.54/150 Apr £8.74/150 (includes food, toiletries and cleaning from 13th to 12th of each month. I just make the tea as normal but a little bit stronger to allow for the ice melting. Then put in pitcher, add ice cubes when cooled down a bit.0

I sometimes make iced green tea and leave it in the freezer for about an hour before I drink it and usually just flavour it with fresh lemon.
I am on a forum with a lot of American people and they make iced coffee quite a lot in hot weather. They all seem to have those expensive coffee machines in their kitchens on there.:)0 -
years ago I did - brewed in teapot (friend in US put teabags in boiling water and brewed in pan) empty in jug when a little cooler and sugar to taste slices lemon orange....then fridge and ice cubes to serve, my only problem was I always got a slight film on top, possible should have brewed with bottle water, not seen Lipton powder tea over here - but both Tesco and Sains have it either peach or lemon in a bottle, not too keen on it as sweet but worth a try but pricey at £1.80.
Funny last year OH was into Twinning Cold Infusions and liked the mint one, just checked it is called cold infusions replenish.0 -
@Wednesday2000 I drink iced coffee in warm weather, some decaf with cold water and shaken to mix, topped up with water, oat milk and loads of ice.
If I'm having it instead of lunch, it's coffee and oat milk, with loads of ice.
I use a shaker bottle, without putting the metal ball in it, for a decent size drink and ease of mixing.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.1 -
Cold red bush tea, I make a litre from one tea bag, can add a little honey and/or lemon. Keep in the fridge. No caffeine, very refreshing.0

I put the ice cube trays in the freezer especially. I can't think why I didn't now. I might make it next week as it is meant to be very hot.

If you've got condensed milk in the cupboard, use some of that with water and coffee to make a frappé.
I adapted it, by using oat milk, but apparently I can get plant condensed milk, which I'll have a look for next time I go shopping.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.0
