Workplace pension

After another TUPE I have a new pension account but I can't access it because my new employer for some reason hasn't set up a log in profile with Aegon. I have sent email after email to the payroll manager but nothing is being done. The replies promise action but I hear nothing further. The contributions show on my payslips.
I want to bring my previous pension over desperately because it's losing money for some reason.
I wish I could flag this higher to have this resolved.

Most pensions have been falling in value recently thanks to Ukarine and global economic problems. Moving it to a different provider wont of it itself make much difference.  So I suggest you dont get too agitated.

You don't give any idea of the time this has all taken. Hours, days, weeks, months?

You are desperate to move it although you have no idea why it has dropped, or whether this drop is worse or better than any other pension, including the Aegon one.

Your pension is invested in the financial markets.

A more urgent issue is that you learn a bit more about how pensions and investments work before doing anything.

it's losing money for some reason - here are three reasons to start with

The US stock market( by far the biggest in the world)  has dropped 25% this year

High inflation and increasing interest rates affecting bonds and gilts

    War in Europe

I started my new job on the 1st October 2021. Still not received an email with a link to create an account with Aegon. I know from Aegon that the employer sets this up with them.

Have you had an annual statement yet?

Have you tried logging into the Aegon account? Name and NI number should get you in

That is wasn't my experience with Aegon. I had to set the account up myself not my employer. Aegon sent me a code through the post as part of the process

Aegon have multiple distribution channels.  Each operates on its own software out of a different location.    What you may do or what happens with one Aegon product is often different with another.

No statement yet. I'll wait until October when it will be one year since joining my new employer.
    I haven't been sent a policy number.

Have you considered switching the funds in which your previous pension is currently invested, rather than transferring it to your new pension scheme?
Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!
