Online chat mortgage broker?

Hi everyone, my brother is profoundly deaf and can't talk on the phone.  Is there a mortgage broker or company anyone can recommend that he can liaise with over a live chat kind of system?  Thanks!

I dont know of any personally, but if your brother wants to post on here I am sure myself, KS and Kingstreet would do our best to help.

I know when I used to work for RBS there was a company called typetalk or something similar. We used to deal with them a lot.

If your brother has Zoom, Teams or another video conferencing system on his phone, laptop or PC, it's possible to do instant chat that way.

While I did have a few phone calls with my broker (above) most, most of it was done via email.

All the solicitor communication was via email.
Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.

@purple-rain_3 Can't speak for every broking firm out there but plenty will be happy to provide advice over email given the circumstances. From the MSE list of brokers, both Habito (live-chat plus email) and Trussle (email only if I'm not wrong) allow you to do that.

As the poster above mentioned, live-chat using Zoom/Teams/etc. is also definitely an option. The FCA expects advisers to accommodate diverse client requirements and given the scenario I imagine most brokers will be able to make appropriate accommodations to ensure that your brother is served appropriately.

And any which don't ought to be pointed at the Equality Act (though I appreciate the OP's brother may prefer to find brokers who are more proactive rather than those which need to be browbeaten into fulfilling their legal duties).
