Hi - I’ve been on the Platform site -  the co-operative bank mortgage side -  and I can’t seem to find whether they deal direct to the public or through brokers only in my specific situation- looking to remortgage as the end of my current lock in is up at end Dec with a different provider.

I can see that some of their business is broker only not direct to the customer, but my scenario isn’t obvious.

I have tried to ring on quite a few occasions today/y’day and have held for long periods without speaking to anyone. I thought I’d ask on here to make sure I either wasn’t wasting my time or that it was worth holding on for.

Does Platform deal direct with remortgages from a different lender or is it through a broker only?

Many thanks

    They only deal with brokers.

But if you have tried to call a few times and not got through, do you really want to be applying to them?
Also, it might be worth checking how long any lenders mortgage offers are valid for. Some will only do 3 month offers on remortgages. You could be applying a little early - I dont use Platform regularly so im not entirely sure how long their offers are valid for... Although I did used to work for them so thats a bit worrying isnt it  :D

@walwyn1978 Platform is intermediary-only and their offers are valid for 6 months. Afaik, they don't offer remortgages direct.
