New bank acct after bankruptcy

Options
My CAB advisor will be processing my application and bankruptcy fees this week. She has advised that I will need to open a new bank account asap after the application is sent.
I’m currently banking with NatWest. I just need a basic account -no overdraft lol! Can anybody recommend a bank that will give me an account please?

Co-op, Monzo providing you don't have debt with them. You can set up DDs and will get a debit card.

Co-op, Nationwide or NatWest (but you are already with them).

If you don't have any debt with NatWest, would they accept you for a basic account? Have you asked them?

When I had a DRO I had to also get a basic bank account and Co-op accepted me.

Good luck!  It's a scary time but you're on your way now.  :)

    I second this.

If you’re happy with an onlline only account the Monzo basic one is very good - the app. is great.

For high street banks, Nationwide is good in my experience and bankrupt-friendly, have also heard good things about the Co-op.
