 My 10 year old daughter bought a music book from a music shop Dawsons in Basingstoke, after 3 weeks she still never received it. My wife called and was told they never had the right address so she gave it to the, we still havent received it. I went in to the shop today and was told it has been sent first class post last week.
What redress do i have as im being fobbed off with its not up to us once we have posted it we must chase this up with Royal mail.
1. Should they of sent it by registered post
2. Am i entiteled to a refund as they lost it with no proff of posting.
Help Please

Yes it is up to the shop to deliver to you. If they posted without a tracking method then it is their loss and they should either send out another book or refund you.0

You have a contract with the shop, they are responsible for delivering the item to you.
If they have sub-contracted the delivery to a third party (the post office) then they are responsible for it.
Don't let them fob you off with "We are not responsible for things lost in the post", they are!
You paid them for delivery, not the PO.0 -
Thanks all
Got a new book next day and refund as well
