Seller withdrew from sale

Hi was just told today that the seller has decided to withdraw from the sale due to personal circumstances. Absolutely gutted as offer was accepted in April and everything was in place for moving . Has anyone got any similar stories to share that have actually ended up turning out for better ! Feeling in limbo just now

Hi, completely understand how you're feeling. We had a similar experience, found our dream home in January and put our house on the market. Got our house under offer only for the seller to withdraw. Put us in a difficult situation as we then had to decide whether to sell our place anyway and rent to improve our buying position.
The vendor of that property then had their EA call us in March asking if we were still interested, obviously got us all excited again but long story short they pulled out once again.
We carried on searching and found an even nicer house for less money which we are both much happier with overall. That's all going through at the moment, just waiting on mortgage offer and searches. The decision to sell our house anyway put is in a great position as there were lots of competing buyers and had the original situation not happened we wouldn't have been so attractive as a buyer (by this point exchange was imminent on the sale).
So try to stay positive, I know it's really difficult but I always think everything happens for a reason, and what will be will be.2 -
Hopefully you find something better.
Can be annoying the time and money spent etc.1 -
Thank you both ! Everything is in place and bank can transfer mortgage to other property! So hopefully will put me in good position against other buyers ! Glad everything worked out thomas11120
