Vitality Blast finals day prize draw - Terms and Conditions

 

Definitions

Active: a valid VitalityHealth, VitalityLife, VitalityCar or VitalityInvest plan with no unpaid premiums, which has not been lapsed or cancelled by the Vitality Member or by the Promoter. 

Finals Day: Vitality Blast Finals Day taking place on Saturday 16 July 2022 at Edgbaston Cricket Ground, Edgbaston Road, Birmingham, B5 7QU. 

Finals Day Prize: two (2) general admission tickets to attend Finals Day (20 tickets to be won in total) and one year’s worth of VitalityCar Insurance (subject to the terms and conditions set out herein). 

Finals Day Promotion Period: Open from 0.01 Monday 20 June 2022 and will close 30 minutes after the start of the last quarter finals fixture taking place on Saturday 9 July. 

Main Prize: 1 x MINI Electric (Level 2) worth up to £39,000 (inclusive of VAT). 

Main Prize Draw Promotion Period: Saturday 16 July from 09:00 and closing 30 minutes after the start of the second semi-final fixture on Vitality Blast Finals Day. 

Vitality Member: a member with an Active VitalityHealth, VitalityLife, VitalityCar, VitalityInvest plan during both the Finals Day and Main Prize Draw Promotion Periods. 

VitalityCar Insurance: means the insurance plan arranged by VitalityCar and underwritten by and administered by Covéa Insurance plc.

Finals Day Prize Draw

1. To enter the Finals Day Prize Draw: Visit www.vitality.co.uk/win-a-car/ and complete the online form to provide your details (name, address, postcode, email address, contact telephone number, car insurance renewal date and whether you are a current Vitality Member) and answer the question ‘Which fixture do you think will have the most boundary hits’ from the drop-down list.

2. You will choose one of the selected Vitality Blast matches being played between Wednesday 22nd June to Saturday, 9th July (inclusive) that you think will have the most boundary target hits.  The number of targets that are hit during each fixture will determine how many times you are entered into the Finals Day Prize Draw. 1 hit = 1 entry into the Finals Day Prize Draw. Vitality Members will receive double the number of entries. A maximum of one (1) Vitality Blast fixture is permitted per person.

3. The Promoter will email you no later than two (2) working days after the Vitality Blast fixture that you have selected, to inform you of how many targets were hit during the fixture (subject to any delays beyond the Promoter’s control). It is your responsible to make sure you have provided us with a valid email address. 

4. There will be a total of ten (10) winners of the Finals Day Prize that will be randomly selected from all valid entries during the Finals Day Promotion Period. For your total confidence, the Finals Day Prize Draw will be conducted by PromoVeritas, the independent promotional verification service, by no later than Tuesday 12th July 2022 (inclusive).. 

5. No person may win more than one (1) Finals Day Prize. 

6. The 10 winners of the Finals Day Prize will be automatically entered into the Main Prize Draw. 

7. Winners of the Finals Day Prize Draw will be contacted via the email address provided on entry within 2 working days of Tuesday 12th July 2022 (subject to any delays that are beyond the Promoter’s control) and will be asked to provide evidence of their identity and eligibility. Reasonable efforts will be made to contact the provisional winners. Once eligibility has been confirmed, the provisional winners will be confirmed as a winner. If a provisional winner does not respond to the initial contact within two (2) working days, we reserve the right to disqualify that entrant and award the Finals Day Prize to a reserve selected in the same manner. Reserve winners may have less time to respond. 

8. When attending Finals Day, food and accommodation will not be provided but travel will be paid for within mainland UK up to a maximum of £100 per person. Any plus ones accompanying the winners do not need to be 18 years old or over. By attending Finals Day, winners and their guests will be subject to Vitality Blast’s own terms and conditions.

9. In the event Finals Day is rescheduled due to any circumstances beyond the Promoter’s control, for example bad weather, the winners of the Final Days Prize Draw will be invited to attend the rescheduled Finals Day event. If any winners are unable to attend the rescheduled Finals Day event, they will no longer be able to participate in the Main Prize Draw. The Promoter will cover any additional expenses incurred by the winners to attend the rescheduled Finals Day event up to £100 per person.

Finals Day Bonus Draw

10. During Finals Day, any person attending Finals Day in person will have a chance to be the 11th finalist and be entered into the Main Prize Draw and win one year’s worth of VitalityCar Insurance. They will need to register their details with a Vitality promotional staff member at the venue and choose one fixture from either one of the Semi-Finals taking place during Finals Day. They will then be automatically entered into a random prize draw. By registering their details, participants consent to their name being announced on the big screen and PA on Finals Day if they win. 

11. The 11th finalist will be chosen at random by PromoVeritas, the independent promotional verification service. The 11th finalist will be contracted via the mobile telephone number they have provided when they signed up and their name will be announced on the big screen and PA on Finals Day. 

12. If the 11th finalist does not respond to the notification within 20 minutes of being contacted, the Promoter has permission to choose a participant from a back-up list. 

13. To be eligible for the Finals Day Bonus Draw, the 11th finalist must have a full, valid UK driving licence and must be over the age of 18. 

14. The 11th finalist will be contacted separately by the Promoter using the email address used when signing up for the Finals Day Bonus Draw no later than two (2) working days after Finals Day regarding details of how to register for their VitalityCar Insurance. It is your responsibility to ensure that you provide the Promoter with a valid email address.

Main Prize Draw

15. On Finals Day, in between the second Semi-Final and the Final fixtures, the Main Prize Draw will take place between the 11 finalists at the Edgbaston venue, and the Main Prize Draw winner will be chosen at random. For your total confidence, the Main Prize Draw will be conducted by an independent person. 

16. The vehicle on display during Finals Day will not be the same vehicle that the winner receives as the Main Prize. 

17. The vehicle on display during Finals Day will be wrapped in Vitality pink branding, promoting the competition. This branding will not be included with the Main Prize that is won by the winner. 

18. The winner of the Main Prize must have and provide evidence of a full, valid UK driving licence prior to delivery of the Main Prize and must show evidence that they are a resident of the UK. 

19. The Main Prize provider is Wessex Fleet Solutions Limited (“Wessex Fleet”) (company no. 05125508) with registered address Unit 6, The Guild King Street, Wilton, Salisbury, England, SP2 0RS. 

20. The winner of the Main Prize will be contacted within two (2) working days after Finals Day via the email address used to participate in this prize draw. It is your responsibility to ensure that you provide the Promoter with a valid email address. The Promoter will provide details of how the Main Prize will be delivered to the winner and how they can claim their VitalityCar Insurance. In order to deliver the Main Prize, the winner will need to consent to the Promoter sharing their details with Wessex Fleet. 

21. The Promoter will not be liable to pay any additional costs over and beyond £39,000 (incl. VAT) in acquiring the MINI Electric. Any additional costs shall be incurred by the winner. 

22. Car insurance cover must be obtained by the winner prior to delivery of the Main Prize. 

23. The Promoter cannot guarantee that the vehicle will not be pre-registered to the Promoter or it’s associated companies. 

24. Maintenance, services, tyres and running costs of the vehicle are the responsibility of the winner from the date of delivery of the Main Prize. This date will be confirmed with the winner in writing following winner acknowledgement of the Main Prize. 

25. Road tax on the Main Prize will be included for one year form the delivery date of the Main Prize to the winner’s UK mainland address. 

26. Vehicle warranty will vary dependent on the Main Prize. Warranty and its duration will be confirmed with the winner before delivery. 

27. Any pictures depicting the Main Prize on any media including press advertisements, posters, social media or TV commercials are indicative only and the actual Main Prize may vary from the depictions. This promotion does not constitute an endorsement or recommendation of the product being offered as Main Prize. 

28. The Main Prize must be taken as stated and no compensation will be payable if a winner is unable to use the Main Prize as stated. The winner will be liable for all costs and expenses not stated relating to claiming the Main Prize. 

29. The Promoter is not responsible for the lead times when sourcing or delivering the Main Prize. 

30. The Main Prize will only be delivered to an address in the mainland UK.

31. The Main Prize will be delivered by Wessex Fleet to the mainland UK address provided by the winner.

VitalityCar Insurance Terms and Conditions

32. The VitalityCar insurance awarded under this prize draw will need to be claimed by all winners prior to 11:59 on 1st June 2023. 

33. In order to claim a year’s worth of VitalityCar insurance, winners must share a photo of their full, valid UK driving licence with the Promoter. 

34. All quotes are subject to VitalityCar’s underwriting criteria. This means if VitalityCar declines your quote, unfortunately you can’t redeem the VitalityCar Insurance prize. 

35. VitalityCar insurance excludes add-on products such as – but not limited to - breakdown cover, replacement car cover, no claims discount, motor legal protection. 

36. Those who win a year’s worth of VitalityCar insurance must be the main planholder, subject to VitalityCar’s underwriting criteria. 

37. VitalityCar will not cover any cancellation fees that you might incur from your existing insurance provider. 

38. If you are the Main Prize winner, you can choose to redeem your VitalityCar insurance prize upon winning the Main Prize or on delivery of the Main Prize.

General Terms and Conditions

42. The Prize Draws are open to residents of the United Kingdom aged 18 or over who hold a full, valid UK driving licence, excluding employees of the Promoter, its agents and anyone professionally associated with the Prize Draws. 

43. No purchase necessary; however, internet access and a valid email address are required. 

44. Entrants must be aged 18 years or over at the time of entering this prize draw. 

45. This prize draw is not run in conjunction with MINI or BMW group nor does it represent a partnership between the Promoter and the parties. 

46. In the unlikely event that a winner has not received communication to arrange their relevant prize the winner must inform the Promoter by emailing emma@spacebetweenagency.com. If a winner does not do so, the Promoter reserves the right to not reissue the relevant prize or limit its value at its sole discretion. 

47. Provided no objection is received from the winners, a winners list containing the surname and county of residence of the Main Prize winner, Finals Day Bonus Prize winner and the Finals Day Prize winners will be made available by the Promoter 4 weeks after the close of the Main Prize Promotion Period, for a period of 8 weeks. It will be available by sending a request via email to legal@vitality.co.uk.  The winner(s) can object to their details being published during this process. Without prejudice, the Promoter will provide winner information to the Advertising Standards Authority if requested by them. 

48. By accepting the Main Prize or the Finals Day Prize Draw, the winner(s) accepts that the Promoter may request that they participate in publicity arising from any of the Prize Draws. Participation is at the winner(s)’ discretion. 

49. The Promoter seeks to run a fair and secure promotion and prevent abuse and cheating. If you enter in a way that is not consistent with these Terms & Conditions, your entries (and any of your associated aliases) will be disqualified. Any prize awarded may be void and recoverable, and the Promoter reserves the right to bar you from entering future promotions for a period of at least six months. For this reason, the Promoter reserves the right at any point to:

• Verify the eligibility of entrants and/or provisional winners by requesting such information it considers to be reasonably necessary for this purpose. Entry of a Prize may be withheld until verification is completed.
• Disqualify entries that are not made directly by the individual entering this prize draw.
• Disqualify entries made using anonymous email services such as, but not limited to, GuerillaMail, Dispostable or Mailinator.
• Disqualify bulk entries from individuals, trade, consumer groups or third parties, incomplete entries and entries submitted by macros or other automated means.
• Disqualify entries beyond the maximum allowed, or those using techniques such as ‘script’, ‘brute force’, multiple SIM cards for text entries, masking identity by manipulating IP addresses, using aliases or identities other than their own or any other means.
• Disqualify entrants who tamper with the entry process.
• Disqualify entries which, in some other way, do not meet the requirements of these Terms & Conditions.
• Cancel, modify or suspend this prize draw should it not be capable of running as planned for reasons including but not limited to tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, dishonesty, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this prize draw.

50. The Finals Day Prize or Main Prize (the “Prizes”) are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be redeemed for monetary value or for any other form of compensation. If for any reason the Prizes are not available, the Promoter reserves the right, at its sole discretion to substitute that Prize for another of equal or greater value. 

51. No responsibility can be taken for entries which are lost, delayed, corrupted, damaged, misdirected or incomplete or which cannot be delivered for any technical, delivery or other reason. Proof of sending will not be accepted as proof of receipt. The Promoter does not guarantee continuous or secure access to www.vitality.co.uk/campaigns/win-a-car/. 

52. The Promoter and its associated agencies and companies are not liable for any loss (including, without limitation, indirect, special or consequential loss or loss of profits), expense or damage which is suffered or sustained (whether or not arising from any person’s negligence) in connection with this prize draw (JS13016) or accepting or using the/a Prize(s), except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law. Nothing will exclude the Promotor’s liability for death or personal injury as a result of its negligence. 

53. The Promoter will not be liable for any delay or failure to comply with its obligations for reasons beyond its reasonable control arising from but not limited to Acts of God, global or regional epidemic or pandemic, adverse weather conditions, fire, industrial dispute, war, terrorist activity, hostilities, political unrest, riots, civil commotion, plague or other natural calamities, or any other circumstances. 

54. All personal data supplied for this promotion will be used for the purpose of this Promotion by the Promoter and/or by any agent appointed by it to assist with running the Promotion and will not be disclosed to an unconnected third party unless your positive consent has been obtained. Promoveritas Limited administers the Finals Day Prize Draw, Finals Day Bonus Draw and Main Prize Draw (together the “Prizes”) for the Promoter and will process your data on behalf of the Promoter as data processor. By entering into the Prizes and opting in, you consent to the Promoter contacting you regarding promotional and marketing materials relating to VitalityCar insurance and/or other Vitality products in accordance with your choices. Wessex Fleet will provide prize fulfilment services for the Promoter and may need to process your data if you win the Main Prize. Your personal data will be handled in accordance with the Promoter’s privacy policy, available at: vitality.co.uk/privacy. 

55. If any part/s of these Terms & Conditions are legally ruled to be invalid, illegal or unenforceable, the remainder will not be affected and will continue in full force and effect. 

56. By entering, you will be deemed to have agreed to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. 

57. If there is a discrepancy between these Terms & Conditions and those in any promotional material, these Terms & Conditions will prevail. 

58. These Terms & Conditions are governed by English law and their interpretation and application will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
