Adjusted Net Income

hello - I'm trying to work out how much my pension contribution needs to be per month in order to go below £50k.
is there an online calculator to do this?

    You can't deduct them as part of your adjusted net income calculation as they are employer contributions.

    The same reason you don't get any pension tax relief added like you would with a personal/employee contribution.

    It's pretty easy to work out.
    If your nominal salary is "S" pounds per year, and the target is £50000, the fraction to sacrifice is (S-£50000) / £S.
    Example: nominal salary £80000/yr. Sacrifice % = (80000-50000)/80000 which is 30000/80000 or 0.375, so 37.5%.
