Finding out historical council tax band for a previous property

Hi All,
Sorry in advance if this has already been covered, but I tried searching and couldn't find anything. In essence I'd like to find out whether a property has had it's band changed (i.e. see a history of changes).
Today's Weekly Money Tips email speaks about checking to see if you may have historically overpaid on council tax due to incorrect assignment of property bands and are eligible to reclaim (back-dated up to 29 years).
I've moved home a few times, but unfortunately don't have any council tax letters from any of my previous properties so I am unable to see what the property band was at the time I was resident. Using the government's 'check council tax band' online tool only provides the current tax band, so I'm unable to tell if it's changed and have a potential case to request a refund.
Does anyone know if there is a better publicly available resource that can provide this extended banding information, or would I be looking at issuing an FOI request?
Thanks in advance,
Mike.

I think I may have already figured something out - there's a 'With effect from" date in the gov's search results, which I can use to tell if the bands changed since I left the properties (so essentially the same thing).Munki_2 said:Hi All,
