My son is about to move into rented accommodation in two weeks. Will he be able to claim the council tax rebate (House is band A) or is it too late? Also will he be entitled to the £400 energy help that every household is getting?. TIA.

best of my knowledge - you had to be the Council tax payer on 1st April(?) for the rebate.

Assuming he's paying the electric bill (with his name on it) then he should be eligible for the £400 come October, ho this will work is still to be confirmed.

He is too late to claim the £150 rebate, you had to be resident on 1 April 2022.

Hi, yes he wasn't living in the property before 1st April so has missed out.
