A lot of lenders allow 6 months before, better to contact Nationwide if they have not yet contacted you.

Rates might be going up on the 4th August.

There is a page on their website when you can log in with your mortgage account and personal details and check if they're already offering you a product switch. You can also check estimated value of your property and few other things. I'm with Nationwide and mine was not ready until five months before the end of my fix. Good luck.

My fixed rate with Natwest ends in Sept and they sent me a letter in June.

Nationwide I think from todays call is up to 5 months advance swap.

I got a message and a letter jist yesterday on my mortgage that ends in October although I was already able to see the rates they offer me a month ago online.

Better to secure the rates as they keep changing. On the 22nd June started application via a broker and he was saying will check if still able to get the deal I wanted. I was seeing 2.88% 5 years with Halifax. If I am been honest wasn't happy at how high it had gotten but went to 3.38% within 2 days of application.

When does the new rate kick in? Is it after the initial offer period ends or is it immediately after accepting a new fixed rate (even if there is a few months before the previous rate finished)

I missed 3.14% 5 yr fix when I requested to exit 2yrs fix 11 months early.
Agreed 3.4% by the time Natwide made their vid call via ipad.
New rate starts from next payment date 1st Aug.
The 5 months at the earliest to choose a new deal was verbally mentioned with costs and options etc...
